FPD – First Payment Default

Operational FPD Logic in IntroXL

Created: April 9, 2026  |  Author: Intro  |  Category: Operations / Rules & Logic

Based on historical operational requests and approved business rules, the First Payment Default (FPD) flag logic in IntroXL operates under a specific “cure” window. The logic has been fully tested, reviewed, and rolled out to related reporting to ensure accurate delinquency tracking.

🔵 FPD Rule Summary & Cure Logic
  • Cure Window: FPD can be cured up to and including the second payment.
  • Permanent FPD Trigger: If any ACH or debit payment is received one day after the second payment due date (or later), the loan remains in FPD status.

⚠️ Return Reversals

If the second payment is initially successful (curing the FPD) but is later returned, the account immediately reverts back to permanent FPD.

🖥️ System Visibility

FPD visibility within this specific workflow is strictly report-based. It is not displayed broadly throughout the standard system UI elements.

📊 Integrated Reporting Scope

The updated FPD cure and reversion logic is reflected across the following reporting endpoints:

  • Lead Summary
  • Lead Detail
  • Static Pool Reporting
💡 Policy Objective

This operational rule is highly useful because it distinguishes between a borrower who struggles with their very first payment but manages to stabilize their account by the second cycle, versus a borrower whose early repayment behavior remains fundamentally broken.
